1874: 2 r. green, optd. by small 'Contra Sello 1874' in black, a horizontal pair used on 1878 cover to Bordeaux cancelled by lozenge of dots handstamp in black with "Administracion de Correos / La Union" datestamp of despacth at left (Feb 24). British P.O. "Panama" single ring transit cds (March 5) in black and thence via London. Struck with "T" marking in blue (Salvador joined the UPU on April 1, 1879) and taxed on arrival in France (April 2) with handstruck '34' décimes charge marking in black, deleted as double rate and charged '22' décimes.
