    British P.O's 1861: Entire  letter from Arecibo (June 26) mailed via San Juan to New York via Forwarding Agent "Vias Y Compañia / Puerto Rico" with blue cachet on reverse; prepaid '1/-' in San Juan and struck with fine Crown "PAID AT SAN JUAN PORTO RICO" in red. British P.O. double arc cds in black on reverse (June 27) and 'St. Thomas' transit (June 29). Landed at Boston and charged '5' for local delivery. A fine and attractive entire Scott = $ 1'000.

    Lot# : 5658 Puerto Rico

    1875: Signature overprint 50 c. green, a horizontal strip of four used on 1875 cover to Cadiz tied by network handstamps and "T" marking in black and '1-10' applied in blue manuscript, probably in London. 'Puerto Rico' despatch cds at left (July 27) and reverse with London transit cds (Aug 15) and Cadiz arrival cds (Aug 17). A rare and most attractive usage of this short-lived issue.
