Reverse with British P.O. CALLAO cds (Oct 14) in black. London transit cds in red (Nov 24) and circular PD below and framed FRANCO applied in blue. An surprisingly unusual destination for Peruvian mail.

    1868: 1 d. green, the remarkable usage of ten examples on 1872 judicial cover to Huaraz, originally franked by a lovely strip of six, a further four single examples (two in a sage green shade) were added at right once the package had been fully weighed and sealed at the Post Office, all tied by five strikes of rare oval framed CAJATAMBO datestamps in red (Emsing E16 = 175 pts). Full docketing 'Pago Porte' and manuscript dated on reverse of an extraordinary cover. Cert. Moorhouse (2010).

Reverse with London transit cds in red (Dec 13) and framed 'GB / 1F 90c.' Accountancy marking applied in black. Framed 'F*58' Franco-Italian Convention marking applied in transit in Paris and charged with handstruck '14' in black (1 lire 40 centesemi). Genova arrival on reverse (Dec 16).     1862: Lot 1 d. red, two fine pairs, one cancelled by complete strike of framed CERTIFICACION registration handstamp of Chachapoyas in black (Emsing E38 = 30 pts), the other with complete octagonal framed CERTIFICADO handstamp of Caraz in blue (E99 = 75 pts). Further two single usages of 1 d green on December 1870 entire letters from Iquique to Lima, both carried by PSNC Steamers as well as 1866 Llama 5 c. green on entire letter from Callao to Lima. Fine and scarce.

    1866/67: Llama 5 c. green, two examples used on 1869 entire letter from Lima to Genova, Italy tied by Lima datestamps of despatch (Nov 21) and by British P.O. single ring CALLAO cds of the following day. PANAMA TRANSIT datestamp of British P.O. also on front (Nov 23) and there trans-shipped to French Paquebot with circular LIGNE A / PAQ. FR. No. 3 datestamp with fleurons (Salles fig. 1401) displaying well on reverse (Dec 2). Carried on the 'Imp. Eugenie' to Bordeaux, thence to Genoa (Dec 27) where charged with '14' handstamp (1 lire 40 centesemi) due in black. Reverse with London cds in red and Lavagna arrival cds (Dec 21) with '14' decimi charge in black. A fine and unusual entire.

Anglo-French accountancy marking applied in black, the adhesive tied by 'Callao' cds (Sept 16) in black. Reverse with London transit cds (Oct 29) in red and Genova arrival in black. Charged in error at '12' decimi in black and deleted and altered to the correct '14' decimi due. Some minor imperfections but unusual.
