    1836: Second sheet of entire letter from Manila to Nantes, France via London, with interesting footnote to letter "The French ship 'Oleron' that arrived here lately from France has been condemned in China...she left here laden with rice and encountered a severe Typhoon", struck with framed INDIA LETTER / LIVERPOOL in black, and reverse showing manuscript Forwarding notation (by R. Henderson & Co.) in London (Feb 11, 1837). Sent via Calais to Nantes with arrival cds (Feb 15), where charged in manuscript at an extraordinary 9 francs 90 centimes. Most unusual cover.

    Filipino Revolutionary Government 1898/99: 2 c. red, a single example used on cover endorsed 'Kagayan' at top to Lal-Loc, tied by large double circular CORREO FILIPINAS / ILAGAN in violet, reverse with 'Communicaciones Filipinas / Lal-Loc' illustrated handstamp in violet. Envelope with typical creasing and some aging but a very rare stamp on letter Scott = $ 450.
