    1874 (April 3): Cover from Kastamonu to Istanbul franked at 3¾ pi. rate with 1869/72 Postage 10 pa. olive grey, perf. 5-11 and 2 pi. red, perf. 13¼, in combination with Postage Due 1869/72 20 pa. and 1 pi. brown, perf. 5-11, all tied by rectangular all arabic KASTAMONU handstamps in black (Coles & Walker fig. 93). A fine and scarce cover.

    1846/62: Entire letters (3) with 1846 entire from Alexandretta to the Sardinian Consul in Aleppo struck on arrival with 'Aleppo' negative seal (Coles & Walker fig 1), 1849 entire letter from same correspondence with Sardinian Consular seal on reverse and struck with fine 'Beirut' negative seal in green (Coles & Walker fig. 1) and 1862 Egyptian entire letter to Mansura with fine circular 'Posta Europea / Alessandria' in blue and rated '2' piastres in red manuscript.

(2) and 10 pa. and two 1909 covers each franked by single 1908 20 pa. red adhesive. Strikes generally fine, a scarce group.
