    1860 (May/Oct.): 2 gr. rose carmine with good to close margins as single franking on cover tied by fancy 'Annullato' to cover from "AGNONE 30 OTT 1860" (svolazzo type - Sassone 12 pts.) together with another entire franked with 2 gr. rose in an horiz. pair (one with defect allineamento = Sass. 5u.), cancelled by framed 'ANNULLATO'  handstamp from "ARIANO 5 MAG.1860', both to Naples Sass. = € 6'000.

    1858: 2 gr. rosa chiaro, the fine selection of diff. shades with clear to large margins on eight individual covers, including I tavola on covers from Lecce, S.Sever and one with svolazzo type of Bari (28.Nov.1860), II tavola on letters from Lecce and Reggio as well as III tavola on covers from  Castel di Sangro and Giovinazzo. A fine group Sassone = € 2'700.

    1860: Cross of Savoy ½ tornese blue, the famous used example showing large part unidentified watermark (not from the Fleur-de-Lys or Bonaventura Tajani paper), with large even margins all round and of excellent colour, cancelled by large part 'Napoli' circular datestamp in black. The first stamp of this type ever located, the stamp featuring in an article by Emilio Diena in 'Il Corriere Filatelico' in 1934, there are now approximately six stamps with this watermark known: this being the finest so far recorded.
