    1894 (Aug 2): Chefoo 1 c. red on blue-grey postal stationery letter-card additionally franked by German Reichspost 20 pf. blue, tied by "Local Post / Chefoo" cds and by German P.O. "Shanghai" cds (5/8) in black. Reverse (opens well for display) showing "Local Post / Chefoo" cds and "Shanghai Local Post" cds (Aug 5) together with framed "Forwarded By / H. Sietas & Co. / Chefoo" in violet. A scarce and attractive usage.

    1912: 2 c. deep green, overprinted "Republic of China" (Type 39) in red, an interpanneau marginal block of six used, showing overprint double, one inverted, all cancelled in black. This item has a BPA certificate stating 'not possible to certify the status of the overprints', however it is ex the Nordenfeldt find run through Corinphila in the last few years, and is the only item from this collection that has caused any disagreement with certification. Sold "as is / tel quel".

    1923: Lot two registered covers to Zurich, one per "Empress of Asia", franked by Junk 1 c. orange-yellow, 6 c. grey and 30 c. purple, together with complete set of four "Temple of Heaven" issue all tied by Shanghai cds's (Oct 24), other franked by Heavenly Gate $ 200 green, $ 3'000 brown (4), $ 10'000 brown and April 1951 pink network $ 20'000 olive (2) all tied by  "Shanghai" cds's in black (18/11). Reverse with Canton transit and Zurich arrival cds. Faults but a scarce commercial franking.

    1928/31: Lot two First Flight covers, incl. 'First Aerial Trip Shanghai - Canton' (18.12.1928, Muller = 1'500 pts) and envelope tied by  Shanghai - Nanking special chop (8. July 29), further an unused 2 cts. green stationery card bearing special imprint 'First Flight Nanking-Peiping', prepared for the first flight of April 4. 1931. A scarce group.
