    LA GUAIRA 1847: Entire letter from Paris to Caracas endorsed 'p. West India Steamer of 2 January from Southampton' in manuscript, with reverse showing blue oval Forwarding Agent's cachet PAR ENTREMISE / DE LARUE & PALMER in blue (Dec 30), thence via London with red SHIP-LETTER and Paid datestamp. Struck on arrival with circular CORREO DE VENEZUELA / GUAIRA / DEBE in red and handstruck '1' reales due mark in black.  Some acid ink faults but a rare and charming entire that displays well.
