    1869: Prevost Essay for proposed 20 Paras black postal stationery envelope, a used example mailed to Angelo de Tedesco in Paris, who is said to have commissioned these Essays modelled on those of Negroni, struck on front with ALEXANDRIE / EGYPTE cds (Dec 19) and charged with handstruck '6' (décimes) due marking on arrival in Paris (Dec 26).
