    1870: Cover from Singapore (sender's cachet at lower left) to New York endorsed 'via Brindisi & Brenner and Str. via England' (presumably the news of the Siege of Paris had reached Singapore), franked in transit with Great Britain 1858 1 d. red pl. 127 in a vertical pair and 1867/73 1 s. green pl. 4 tied by BO1 obliterators with ALEXANDRIA cds (Nov 26) alongside. Struck on arrival with unclear 'New York / Paid All' in red with '2 Cents' credit marking in red above. No side flaps but a most unusual cover.
