    1850/1900c.: Collection on leaves with Great Britain mail to India, with 1844 stampless cover with oval INDIA, forwarded on arrival with GB 1841 1 d. red-brown, 1850 entire to Bombay franked by Embossed 1848/54 10 d. brown and 1 s. green, stamps cut round but attractive; 1857 11 d. rate cover to Viscount Canning in Calcutta with 1 d. star, 4 d. carmine and 6 d. deep lilac; 1857 cover with 1 d. star and pair of 4 d. carmine from Malvern, 1862 single 9 d. straw on cover to Calcutta, 1866 cover with 2 d. blue and 4 d. vermilion used from Jersey, 1869 and 1870 covers franked at 1/1 d. rates with oval SEA POST OFFICE in blue, 1872 cover with 9 d. straw pl. 4 and 4 d. vermilion to Lucknow, 1877 cover with pair of 4 d. sage-green pl. 15 to Umballa, 1879 cover with single 8 d. orange franking to Quetta to a Major in the Punjab Cavalry and another similar cover to Meerut, later period with 5 d. indigo frankings, Jubilee issue frankings etc. Condition varies but generally fine (47 covers/2 cards).
