    Type 1B. 1868: Cover to Lahore franked by 1867/80 3 d. rose pl. 5 and 6 d. lilac pl. 6 for 9 d. rate via Southampton, cancelled by 937 obliterators with corresponding 'New Barnet' datestamp (Sept 18) on reverse. The adhesives also tied by oval SEA POST OFFICE / D datestamp (Oct 4) in blue-green applied in Suez. Carried on the 'Sumatra' arriving Bombay on October 14, with Lahore arrival cds in red (Oct 21). Illustrated on page 21 of the handbook. Flap tears otherwise a fine and attractive cover - the earliest recorded use of the Set D datestamp.
