    Netherlands 1853 (Nov 25): Outer letter sheet from Sydney to Amsterdam endorsed 'pr. Chusan' franked by NSW 1852 3 d. emerald-green tied by dumb obliterator in black, the adhesive removed for checking and replaced, carried from Galle by the 'Oriental' thence from Alexandria by 'Himalaya' to Malta and thereafter to Marseille by the 'Vectis'. Faint red entry marking on front and reverse with Sydney despatch cds (Nov 26) in black and Amsterdam arrival cds (Feb 14) in red and charged 55 cents due in manuscript.
