    Italy 1871 (April 21): Cover to Melbourne, Victoria endorsed 'via Brindisi, April 25th' franked by 1863 40 c. carmine-rose (2) mailed from Florence fully paid. Carried from Brindisi on the P&O Steamer 'Masilia' and, from Suez on the 'Hindostan'. Reverse with Brindisi transit and British Post Office ALEXANDRIA cds (April 28) and Melbourne arrival cds (June 6). Some minor imperfections but a rare destination at this date.
