    British East Africa 1895 (Nov 21): Registered cover from Mombasa to Sydney, Australia franked by single July 1895 4½ a. violet overprinted in black, tied by 'Mombasa' squared circle datestamp in black. Oval 'R' at left and reverse with 'Aden / Reg.' skeleton datestamp (Dec 2) and 'Registered / Sydney' arrival cds (Dec 21). A rare and attractive cover.
