    1865: Entire letter paid in cash for the Austrian part of the journey, sent from Chios to Syra with "SCIO- CESME 25 / 11" (Tchilinghirian & Stephen fig. 560) and FRANCO, both in greenish blue on front and handwritten "10" (so.) on reverse. Taxed with handwritten "20" (lepta) upon arrival, with Large Hermes Head 20 l. blue used as postage due alongside, cancelled by "SYROS 14 NOEM 65" cds.
