    1865/71: 1 r. green, a magnificent horizontal strip of eight on circa 1869 folded legal cover to Guaranda, just touched to large margins all round, tied by RIOBAMBA datestamps (with partial unclear year date, thus pre-1870) struck four times in black. Manuscript '16 oz.' at right (folded, on reverse) for corresponding 8 reales franking. One stamp just touched by file fold but of superb appearance and a very rare cover. Cert. Moorhouse (2014).
