    1865/72: ½ real blue, intermediate impression, some minor fading, used on 1869 cover to France tied by QUITO / FRANCA cds (April 3). Reverse with British Post Office GUAYAQUIL datestamp (April 10) well struck in black and London red transit cds (May 14). Framed 'GB / 1F 90c.' Accountancy marking applied in London and charged '12' décimes handstruck due on receipt. A rare usage of the first issue on a Transatlantic cover. Cert. Holcombe (1992) and Moorhouse (1992).
