    GUAYAQUIL 1844 (May 12): Entire letter from Guayaquil to Valparaiso, Chile endorsed 'per Chile' (PSNC vessel), struck with ULTRAMAR straight line in red, re-addressed to Santiago and struck additonally with straight line VALPARAISO handstamp in red. Manuscript rated 3½ reales (1½ r. for incoming sea mail and 2 reales for forwarding to Santiago). Fresh and fine entire.
