    Mexico City 8 r. red-lilac, two slightly overlapping examples used in combination with 2 r. green and 1 r. yellow on cover front to Vera Cruz endorsed at top 'Con cartas para ultramar' (with letters for overseas) and 'per extraordinario' (Express), all tied by Mexico City lozenge of dots handstamps (Schatzkes fig. 826) in black. Minor imperfections of no significance, a magnificent and famous piece. Cert. Mepsi (1991).
