    1 d. deep blue, a large margined used example (Transfer Type 3 with PORYE for PORTE), used on 1858 cover to Bordeaux tied by oval framed LIMA handstamp in black. Faint CALLAO British P.O. datestamp on reverse (Aug 27) and front with framed 'GB / 2F 87½c.' accountancy marking applied in London (Oct 2). Envelope with closed tear at base but an attractive and early overseas usage.

    Note: The 1 dinero adhesive paid the reduced tariff between Lima and Callao.
