    1905: Post Offices in Syria. Turkey 1 pi. blue in a horizontal strip of three, used on Registered / AR cover to Pistoia, Italy tied by scarce HAMIDIÉ (DAMAS) datestamp in black (Coles & Walker fig. 47) with framed 'Recommandé / Damas (Hamidié)' registration cachet above with manuscript 'AR'. Reverse with brilliant strike of oval arabic only Damas (Babtoma) oval handstamp (fig. 43) of transit and arrival datestamps in black. Some opening tears but rare.
