    1898 (Oct 1): German South West Africa 10 pf. red reply half of postal stationery card, sent back from St. Petersburg to Swakopmund with Arms 4 kop. red and truncated 7 k. blue paying the registration rate of 10 kopeks (the card was carried free of postage).  Violet registration cachet of despatch and Swakopmund arrival (Feb 15) at lower left. A most unusual usage and destination.
