    1847: Embossed 1 s. green, good to broad margins all round, tied by Battle (Sussex) numeral '54' to Ocean Penny Post envelope with manuscript '2' and framed London 'L/JY 20/B' datestamp below, backstamped "BATTLE JY 19 1849" in blue and London "20 JY 20 1849" in red, sent with April 1849 British Packet rate via Halifax to York Ville, Toronto, Canada. Adhesive soiled and frame split at upper right, but still an attractive item. Cert. BPA (2013) Gi Spec H1 = 1'350.
