    20 r. reddish lilac, a creased horizontal pair used in combination with 1850 300 r. black (2, both with enormous margins but touched at corners), used on 1872 cover to Barcelona, Spain via Lisbon. The adhesives tied by segmented cork cancellations in black, pre-paying the double rate of 640 reis. French type 'Rio De Janeiro' cds of despatch at base (Jan 6) and reverse with 'P. Transatlantico' in violet alongside arrival cds (Jan 22). Handstruck '1 Pesetas' due marking in black on front of a scarce cover. Cert. Moorhouse (2013).
