    30 reis grey, Worn Impression, two horizontal pairs on reverse of August 1844 entire letter and Prices Current mailed from Pernambuco to Maranhao, cancelled by PERNAMBUCO SHIELD datestamps (Ayres 1548) in black. The pairs with ironed vertical file fold and minor repair to the letter-sheet to prevent acid ink and further damage, opened well for Exhibit display, the upper pair with repaired tear across the top of both stamps and showing the vertical marginal line at right.
