Maltese Cross, a defective example with repaired corner, cancelled by bold strike of 3 bars "C57" British Post Office in Greytown obliterator in black-the sole recorded usage of this obliterator, Parmenter records this as a Proof strike only (Type 3TH.HOS) and un-recorded in use although delivery was on August 14, 1865. Despite the condition, this remains one of the rarest of all British P.O. Abroad cancellations. Cert. RPS (2006).
