    Ploesti 1865 (Sept 12): Cover to Leipzig, Saxony franked by combination usage of 1863 15 s. brown, perf. 14 and 1864 5 s. rose, perf. 9½, cancelled by bold PLOJESTIE datestamp in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 768). Reverse with seal removed but with Hermannstadt cds of transit and arrival cds. For a similar cover from this correspondence see the Jerger collection, lot 887. A fine and rare franking.
