1856 (Jan 5): Registered prepaid entire letter from Bucharest to Milan, with superb strikes of BUKAREST cds, straight line RECOM. and oval framed FRANCO all in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 711, 713). Prepaid manuscript '35 kr.' at upper left (15 kr. postage + 20 kr. registration) and reverse with disinfection slits applied at Rothenturn and charged 72 centesemi on arrival. A superb and rare entire.
