Alexandretta 1856 (March 8): Entire letter from Alexandretta to Aleppo, struck on arrival in Aleppo with intaglio seal handstamp (Tchilinghirian fig. 1) with Roman ".L.A." at top, the inscription reading "From the Austrian Post Aleppo, 1855".
