    1865/72: 1 s. blue, a creased example used on 1873 second sheet of entire letter to Melbourne, Australia endorsed 'per Dupleix', cancelled by fine 'Mauritius / B53' duplex in black (Oct 16). Good strike of "10 d." split rate marking in red alongside. Despite fault a very scarce usage.
