    1858 (Feb): The world's first surcharged adhesive stamp-the "Four Pence" on green Britannia, the study on album page with mint (3) and used examples (10) including a rare pair-used only for a double Ship Letter fee. The pair with Holcombe opinion (1996), further single with cert. RPS (1954). Condition obviously variable but a very rare group Gi = £ 9'300.
