    1865/66: Essays by Negroni, recess printed in Italy on imperforate glazed paper; for proposed 10 pa. value in pale violet with overprint in orange, and 10 pa. value printed in pale yellow with overprint in deep blue. Some ageing and minor faults but very rare. These Essays (which differ from Prevost Essays to follow, with 37 pearls in ornament rather than 46) are of great rarity and are much under-catalogued by Nile Post E5 = $ 600.
