    1870 (Nov 5): Entire letter to Constantinople endorsed "via Austria"  franked by pair of 1867/80 3 d. rose pl. 5, aged and one with wing margin trimmed, tied by Birmingham-75 duplexes in black. Reverse with British P.O. Constantinople cds of receipt (Nov 18). An attractive entire showing the route taken instead of via Marseilles (suspended Sept 17-Nov 21) due to the Franco-Prussian War.
