    5 c. lemon, a fine horizontal pair and a single in a paler 'matt' shade all used on large part 1861 cover, top flap missing, from Bogotá to Castellanos & Ca. in Ambalema, all cancelled by "BOGOTA" pearl handstamps in black. Fresh and very fine cover used during the four month period under 'Mosquera' rates. Cert. Moorhouse (2012).
    Note: On August 28, 1861 Tomas Cipriano de Mosquera altered the existing postal rates by memorandum. He ordered that the internal Colombian postal rates of April 1846 be re-introduced, namely 10 centavos for an inter-state letter and 15 centavos from one state to another. Only four letters are known sent during the four month period between August and December 1861, a new organisation being implemented on January 1, 1862.
