60 reis black, Early Impression on yellowish paper, used as seal on reverse of September 1844 entire letter from Villa de Lavras to Rio de Janeiro, Tixeira correspondence, the adhesive overlapping the entire and has been cleaned and is just touched by file fold, but with four margins and showing vertical marginal line at right, tied by the sole recorded usage on cover of the framed V. DE LAVRAS oval handstamp in brown (Ayres 1529). The entire somewhat aged but opens well for Exhibit display. A rarity. Certs.
