    United States of America 1877 (Sept 13): Cover from the U.S. Consulate in Callao mailed to New York, franked by Great Britain 1874 6 d. grey pl. 14 tied by "C35" numeral of Panama alongside 1875 USA Taylor 5 c. blue tied by 'New York / Steamship' in black for onward transmission. Britsh P.O. Panama datestamp at left (Sept 20) and reverse with Brooklyn arrival cds (Oct 5). Cover with address somewhat re-written but a scarce and appealing combination usage from this famous correspondence. Cert. RPS (2013).
