    1861: 3 c. rose and 12 c. black used on 1861 cover to Kusel, Germany tied by "Buffalo/NY" datestamp (Dec 23) and by circular barred handstamp in black. Red framed "Aachen/Franco" at right (Jan 14, 1862) and reverse with half-round Kusel arrival (Jan 16). A fine example of the 15 cents rate via Bremen.
