    1870/71: 3 c. green (2) and 10 c. brown used on 1873 cover from Philadelphia (June 24) to Paris, France via England, cancelled in black and by oval PD, London transit (July 7). Some minor imperfections but a scarce 16 cent franking and rate (weighed over a third of an ounce but under ½ ounce), see Hargest page 176 for full explanation; also a fine 1873 entire from San Francisco to Nantes with 10 c. brown single franking.
