    1851/57: Franklin 1 c. blue, Type IV and superb horizontal pair of 10 c. green, Type III in a rich shade, used on 1855 entire letter to Villeneuve sur Lot, France tied by circular grid cancels in black with New Orleans despatch cds in red at left (Oct 21). "New York / Am. Packet" transit cds in red (Oct 31) alongside and reverse with London transit (Nov 12) and Villeneuve arrival cds (Nov 14). Charged with handstruck '8' decimes due on receipt. File fold just away from the 1 cent but a fine and attractive entire.
