    1869: 3 c. ultramarine (2), used on 1870 cover (Warner correspondence) to Liverpool, tied by cork cancels in black with "Hartford/Ct" datestamp at left (Jan 11). New York Foreign Mail transit in red alongside of the following day. Fine strike of "Paid / Liverpool / U.S.Packet" in red at lower left (Jan 24). A few small envelope imperfections but rare, the first letter from this correspondence and posted on the 11th day of the newly introduced 6 cent rate to the UK.
