    Retaliatory Rate 1848 (Nov 30): Entire letter written from Lurgan, prepaid with "1/-" in manuscript and red "Belfast" cds in red to New York, carried on Cunard Steamer "Niagara" and charged "29" cents in red on arrival (24 cents sea + 5 c. inland postage). A fresh and fine entire-the last Cunard sailing prior to the "Restored" rate period.
