    1916 (Aug 22): Cover to Basel, Switzerland franked by 1916 5 pa. violet pair used to pre-pay the Printed Matter rate, tied by bold strike of Censor framed handstamp and by rare "MEO-CHAREM" datestamp in black (Coles & Walker fig. 28). Held by the Turkish Censor as reverse with Stamboul datestamp of transit (Sept 1917) and Basel arrival (Jan 20, 1918). A rare and unusual cover.
