    1916: 1 pi. deep blue, early printing, a fine unused block of nine, the sixth stamp showing the letter "S" secret mark in the upper right corner octagonal segment, most probably for "Survey" and used as a secret mark against possible forgery. The "S" marking is only found on the perforated 12 sheets and was removed from the December 1916 and May 1917 issues. Fresh and fine block Gi = £ 1'620.
