    1843: 60 r. black, early impression, vertical pair with bottom sheet margin, clear at lower left, otherwise ample to wide margins, tied by two strikes of "CORREO GERAL DA CORTE 25/8 1843" c.d.s. to entire letter to Victoria, paying the correct 120 reis rate for sea postage up to 4 oitavas, small part of reverse flap missing, otherwise fine, a scarce early letter from the month of issue.
