    Ballon Monté 1870 (1 Oct): Napolèon laureated 10 c. bistre as well as single example and pair of 20 c. blue, each tied by "32" étoile in black. Matching "PARIS R. St. DOMque-St.-Gn" datestamp struck in black on entire letter to New York as well as framed PD, faint London transit, "NEW YORK British Packet" arrival cds, and "2 cents" handstamp, all in red alongside, reverse with two French ambulants. The entire was carried on the balloon No. 6 "L'Armand Barbès", an attractive small neat item to an unusual destination. Cert.
