    1943 (Aug.28): WWII, Red Cross Postal Message Scheme, 6 d. purple and 1 s. black and olive, used on registered air mail cover, from Accra (Gold Coast) to Geneva, dated 28 August 1943, endorsed "Red Cross Postal Message Scheme" and with British Red Cross cachet in purple front and to reverse, passed by censor in Gold Coast and again by German occupying forces in Paris (code X on reverse), arrival mark in Geneva dated 26 September 1943, has central vertical filing crease clear of adhesives, rare example; less than a handful of covers using the Red Cross Postal Message Scheme with British Red Cross markings are known; routing uncertain.
