    1892 (12 May): Stationery postcard 6 c. green from Forest Side to Dover, forwarded to London, the indicium struck by oval 'B48' barred numeral, matching D2 "FORREST SIDE" despatch cds, MAURITIUS transit cds and DOVER duplex alongside.rnNote: The postcard is believed to be one of the first posted after the catastrophic Cyclone of 30 April 1892. The writer decribes the disaster with "1070 killed, 1300 wounded and 25000 homeless". The toned appearance of the card speakes for a an immersion of the card in water during the cyclone and is in total contrast to the perfect strikes on it.
