    1850: 3 d. yellow-green on soft yellowish paper (position 22, no lower left ray in upper left corner ornament), a superb example of fine impression and vivid colour with large even margins all round, used on 1852 second sheet of entire letter to London endorsed "p.s Senator" in manuscript, tied by fine strike of barred obliterator in black. Reverse with circular "SHIP LETTER / ♚ / SYDNEY" datestamp (May 18) in black with London arrival cds (Oct 1) in red and charged "8d." in manuscript for an incoming Ship Letter. Palmer cover census #61. Very modern contents: "the cost of property in Sydney is rising...". File folds well away from the delightful adhesive, a superb cover. Signed W.
