    1857 (23 Nov.): Double rate Entire letter from Marciana Marina on the island of Elba to Marigliano nearby Napoli, bearing stripes of three and four of 1 cr. 'carminio su grigio', two fine and fresh multiples with overall fair to huge margins, one touched at lower right, tied by indistinct cds's of Marciana Marina, reverse with transit cds's of LIVORNO (24 Nov.) and NAPOLI (28 Nov.). Taxed upon arrival in Naples with '31' grana, signed E. Diena & Oliva. Sassone = € 18'750.
